What it is:
A driver for MegaRAID (Broadcom/LSI) RAID controllers. It is mostly found on servers and powerful workstations.
What it does:
It makes disk RAID arrays attached to a MegaRAID controller work.
Do you need it, can you remove it:
You need it only if such a controller is installed. It is a system driver.
What to do:
Do not remove it: without the driver the disks may become inaccessible. On a regular home PC without such hardware no action is needed.
