What is “Installed program”?

2020-01-01 (updated 5 days ago) by Chemtable Software

What it is:

An entry in the installed programs list created by Reg Organizer or Soft Organizer Pro in install-tracking mode. It appears when an installation (most often an update) does not create a separate new name in the list.

What it does:

It does nothing by itself. It is a service marker that records the fact of an installation or update so that it can later be correctly undone.

Do you need it, can you remove it:

This is a technical record, not a real program. Remove it only together with the program you installed under tracking.

What to do:

If you don’t know which installation the entry belongs to, it’s better not to touch it. Use Reg Organizer or Soft Organizer to remove it — they will identify what is behind it.
