What is Windows Command Processor?

What it is:

The Windows Command Prompt (cmd.exe) — a system tool for running text commands.

What it does:

It runs commands, scripts and maintenance tasks. It appears in startup if some program runs commands when the system starts.

Do you need it, can you remove it:

This is a Windows system component and cannot be removed.

What to do:

Keep it. If it keeps appearing in startup and this bothers you, check in Reg Organizer which program is launching it.
