Creating a Registry Snapshot

To start working with registry snapshots, choose the Registry Snapshots command in the TOOLS submenu of the Main Menu.

A registry snapshot is a current state of the entire registry (or its part) saved on the disk.

You can create a snapshot of the entire registry as well as of particular keys only.

  • To create a snapshot of the entire registry, click the Create Snapshot button, and a snapshot will be created.
  • To include only certain registry keys in a snapshot, click the arrow to the right of the Create Snapshot button and select the Specified Keys Only command in the drop-down menu. In the window that appears, select the keys you want to include into the snapshot and click OK to create it.
