Shell Integration
You can make important features of Reg Organizer available directly from Windows Explorer. To open the settings related to Reg Organizer shell integration, follow these steps:
- Choose the SETTINGS Main Menu item.
- In the tree-like control with settings categories, select General.
There is an option named Windows context menu command on the tab that appears. It allows you to enable or disable Reg Organizer integration with the Windows shell. Here are the commands which will be added to the Windows Explorer context menu once the above option is enabled:
Run and trace with Reg Organizer for executable files and installers
This command is used for executing the application’s installation with tracing. The tracing reveals all changes made to the system during the application’s installation and remembers them. This allows you to completely remove the application from the system, if necessary.
Uninstall completely with Reg Organizer for shortcuts
Reg Organizer allows you to remove any installed application including the traces it left in the system. This command, when selected on the application’s shortcut, begins the uninstalling procedure.
Please note: In order to completely uninstall the unnecessary application, you don’t even need to launch Reg Organizer first. Just drag the icon of the application you want to remove to Reg Organizer’s shortcut on the Desktop. After that, the uninstall procedure will begin.
Open with Reg Organizer for the file with the .reg extension
With this command you can open the registry files in Reg Organizer directly from Windows Explorer. The tree-like keys structure of the registry file will be displayed in visual form for easy learning and editing the contents of the registry file before importing it to the registry.
