Installing a New Application
Installing as well as uninstalling of programs is controlled by the Applications tool. So you need to open this tool first by selecting the Applications command in the TOOLS submenu of the Main Menu.
To install the program so that you will be able to remove it completely if necessary, open the new application installation window. To do this, choose the INSTALL WITH TRACING command on the left-hand side of the Applications tool’s main window.
Using this window is easy. You will be given the option to enable application tracking, and then to install an application as usual. Click the Run Installer button to do this. You will be asked for a path to the setup file, and it will automatically run after that.
Under some operating systems, you can see the arrow to the right of the Run Installer button. If you click it, you will be able to select an additional installation option: Run Installer in Silent Mode (If Supported). If selected, the installation program will be run with the additional command line parameters /S and /Silent. Many setup executables support these parameters, and if a setup was started with such a parameters, the installation runs silently without asking the user for any confirmations. This option is essential if you already installed a certain application in the past and don’t want to see many dialog windows asking you to setup the same parameters again.
You can run the setup executable not only with the Run Installer button, but using other methods as well, for example, via Windows Explorer.
It is recommended that you close all running applications during the installation process.
